Suggested Tune HAPPY DAY (L.M. and refrain)

1. Forbid it Lord that we should be
a modern kind of Pharisee
that we should block the kingdom's gates
for anyone who seeks your grace.

Let them come, let them come,
and with us kneel before the Son,
they need His grace as much as we -
we dare not take the judgement seat.
Bring them in, bid them come,
His grace is free for everyone.

2. What should we care, the clothes they wear,
or stress about outlandish hair?
What if they praise arms down or raised,
or if they pray not quite our ways?

3. Our need for grace makes us all one
and desperately we need the Son
all rules and works just crush us all
Our hope is Christ, so hear the call:
